Walking
Walking is an excellent way to travel in the Irvine Business Complex (IBC), whether you are commuting to work or just running errands.  Walking not only improves your health but also helps reduce stress and lets you get to know your neighborhood better.  You’ll also benefit the environment by reducing traffic congestion and air pollution.

The City of Irvine Public Works Department constructs, maintains, and repairs a network of sidewalks throughout the IBC in the public right-of-way adjacent to residential and arterial roads. These sidewalks allow you to explore the IBC on foot or get from your bus stop to the office.

If you are walking from outside the IBC, the City of Irvine also maintains a system of off-street trails for pedestrians and bikers.  Download the City of Irvine’s Bikeways Map here.

You can map walks using mapmywalk.com and measure walking distances at gmap-pedometer.com.  Get out there and begin exploring your community!
