Irvine, CA – A man in possession of narcotics and indicia related to prescription medication fraud was arrested by the Irvine Police Department following the observation of two alert officers. The suspect is identified as Steve Han Kim, 37, of Fullerton.

At approximately 10:45 p.m. on May 13, 2016, two Irvine officers were in a shopping center on the 5300 block of Alton Parkway finishing a call for service. While in the parking lot, and unrelated to the original call, the officers observed Kim behaving suspiciously outside of CVS.

The officers contacted the suspect and ultimately conducted a search of his person and vehicle. Kim was found to be in possession of several identification cards that did not belong to him, counterfeit blank prescription medication pads, and receipts for prescription drugs. He was also in possession of heroin and methamphetamine.

The suspect was arrested at the scene without incident.
