Irvine Child Care Committee Seeks Applicants

The City of Irvine is accepting applications to fill two child care provider and two government, civic, or community agency vacancies on the Irvine Child Care Committee (comprised of 14 members: five City Council appointees; two community child care providers; two parents /guardians, and five agency representatives). The Committee performs in an advisory capacity to both the Community Services Commission and the Irvine City Council by identifying child care needs, early care and education concerns, and evaluating the availability of quality, affordable, child care within the community.

Applicants must live or work in the City of Irvine and be willing to commit to a two-year term of active participation.  Committee meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 8:45-10:15 a.m. at the Child Resource Center.

Applications are available at the Irvine Child Resource Center located at 4341 Yale Avenue, and online at www.irvinechildcare.org. Completed applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009.  Mail completed applications to City of Irvine, Attention: Child Care Coordination Office, P.O. Box 19575, Irvine, CA, 92623.
