Recruitment Deadline Extended for Green Ribbon Environmental Committee

The application period to fill two member-at-large positions on the Green Ribbon Environmental Committee has been extended to March 1.

The Green Ribbon Environmental Committee serves in an advisory capacity and seeks to increase public participation in energy conservation and sustainable practices, helping the City serve the community through advancing environmental policy initiatives and programs. 

The Committee is comprised of two (2) City Council members appointed by the City Council, one (1) Planning Commissioner appointed by the Planning Commission, two (2) members appointed at-large by the City Council, five (5) members appointed by each City Council member. The selected members-at-large will each serve a two-year term. Meetings are held quarterly at 6:30 p.m. at University Community Park, 1 Beech Tree Lane, Irvine.
