Irvine Fine Arts Center to Host Open House

2/9/2012

The City of Irvine Fine Arts Center is hosting a public open house on Saturday, February 11 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Featuring artist demonstrations, facility tours, and a curator-led visit to the Center's current exhibition, the open house is a perfect occasion for visitors to become acquainted with the Center’s dynamic visual arts programs.

The event also features hands-on art activities, local food trucks and an opportunity to enter a raffle drawing for a variety of prizes, including two round-trip airfare tickets on Jet Blue.

Situated in Heritage Park, the Center’s 18,000 square foot facility, which opened in 1980, was designed specifically for arts instruction and arts exhibition. A place where people of all ages and skill levels can go to shape and develop their creative talents, the facility is equipped with art studios for drawing and painting, ceramics, photography, jewelry, culinary arts and printmaking.

The Center also offers more than 400 classes and programs to the public each year, along with rotating art exhibitions in each of its three galleries.

The Irvine Fine Arts Center is located at 14321 Yale Avenue. For additional information, and for a list of current and future exhibitions, visit irvinefinearts.org or call 949-724-6880.
