Irvine Accepting Applications for Educational Partnership Grants

Committed to enhancing academic and health programming for Irvine students, the Irvine City Council has agreed to allocate up $500,000 for the City's Educational Partnership Fund  - a program which grants funds to schools serving Irvine students in grades K through 12.

Public school districts or lawfully-formed California non-profit corporations working in partnership with the Irvine Unified School District or Tustin Unified School District are eligible to apply. 

Application programs/activities must be designed to directly enhance health services, like on-site nursing, nutrition or guidance programs, for Irvine children K-12 and be deliverable at a public school(s) located within the boundaries of the City of Irvine. 

Applicants are encouraged to attend a grant workshop at the Irvine Civic Center on Monday, September 21 at 9 a.m.  Applications are available electronically (below) or at Irvine City Hall's Community Services Department, located on the second floor at 1 Civic Center Plaza. Only hard-copy applications will be accepted. Application deadline is 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 29.

Up to $100,000 can be allocated to a single grant request.  All awards and funding allocations are contingent upon City Council approval.  Funds are expected to be granted in February 2010.
