The City of Irvine appreciates the service of the following honoree:
| Wall of Recognition | | | Leo E. Peart | | | First Chief of Police 1975-1991 | | | Police Chief Leo Peart was named Director of Public Safety and police chief of Irvine in October, 1974. The City’s first 17 officers were contracted from Costa Mesa. The first command staff consisted of the Chief, two captains, and six lieutenants. Irvine’s first public safety department consisted of 25 sworn staff. |
