The City of Irvine appreciates the service of the following honoree:
| Wall of Recognition | | | Judy Wright | | | In Memoriam | | | Judy Wright was born in Wyoming and graduated from the University of Wyoming with degrees in Home Economics and Journalism. While in college, she married David Wright and they were later divorced. She moved to Irvine, California, where she raised two sons. Along with being an active member of several churches, she was also involved in a number of non-profit organizations, as well as being an executive director for the Irvine Senior Foundation. She was also very active in the fund raising, development and construction of the Irvine Senior Center, along with helping to raise funds to operate the center. After Judy left the Irvine Senior Foundation, she started her own business providing advice, support and grant-writing services for a number of non-profit groups. During this period, Judy received her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. This was a major achievement of which she was very proud. Throughout her life, Judy has helped improve the lives of hundreds of people including the homeless, battered women, senior citizens, and many other similar groups. She was a wonderful, talented, and giving person. Judy died in 2004. |
