The City of Irvine appreciates the service of the following honoree:
| Wall of Recognition | | | Kathryn J. Lemire | | | Distinguished Citizen | | | Kathy Lemire's leadership role in Irvines Youth Softball Program was inspiring. As an officer of South Irvine Bobby Sox in 1989-90, she provided organization, leadership and led fundraising efforts. From 1993 through 1997 she ran Woodbridge High School's highly successful Easter Softball Tournament and football snack bars. Her inspiration encouraged other parents to volunteer their time, and indirectly prompted more girls to participate in youth sports. Her success is reflected in Irvine's female athletes on Olympic and National teams or in coaching roles. |
