The City of Irvine appreciates the service of the following honoree:
| Wall of Recognition | | | Community Partner | | | Human Options, Inc. | | | In 1994 Human Options was invited by Irvine City Council members to build an emergency shelter for battered women and their children. As a result a partnership between this nonprofit and the City of Irvine, a state-of-the-art emergency shelter was produced that has provided a safety net to over 4,000 battered women and abused children since opening its doors in 1996. Services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, safe housing, food, case management, counseling, legal advocacy and help finding affordable housing. Human Options restores hope and rebuilds lives every day. |
