| Wall of Recognition | | | Vivan Clecak | | | Distinguished Citizen | | | Vivian Clecak began her role as founding director of Human Options in 1981 and has served more than 30 years as the Chief Executive Officer. Under her stewardship, Irvine-based Human Options has grown from a small grassroots agency to a multi-service, countywide program breaking the cycle of domestic violence at every stage. This nonprofit provides safety for seniors, women and their children, long-term support to rebuild lives and educational programs to create a safe community. For more than three decades, Human Options has served more than 25,600 individuals in counseling and shelter programs, more than 51,000 hotline crisis calls and more than 257,000 individuals in prevention programs. |
