The City of Irvine appreciates the service of the following honoree:
| Wall of Recognition | | | Dr. Edward A. Hart | | | First President, Irvine Valley College 1981-1986 | | | Dr. Ed Hart was the first Irvine Valley College President/Provost. He was named Assistant Superintendent/Administrator in 1979 and oversaw a staff of 13 full-time faculty and five administrators. After period of significant growth, the North campus became a separate college in July 1985 and the campus with the new name of Irvine Valley Collage was dedicated October 22, 1985. In 1985, Irvine Valley College became the 105th community college in California. |
