Description:

The City of Irvine, as a subgrantee of the County of Orange, has been awarded an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $66,563. The County of Orange received $12,647 of this grant to assist in administration and staffing costs associated with the Pro-Active Methamphetamine Laboratory Investigative Team (PROACT) project. The City is one of 17 municipal law enforcement agencies that participate in this program.

The City used the remaining grant amount of $53,916 in grant funds to retain a Family Violence Victim Advocate and initiate publication of the City's enhanced Victim Resource Guide brochure. The Victim Resource Guide contains valuable information related to victim services, support, and resources. Click here to view the City’s Victim Resource Guide/Brochure.
