Geographic Area - Crossroads

Welcome! (Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese, A Thank You to the Translators)

Welcome to the Crossroads Area webpage. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the geographic policing model.

On May 24, 2003, the Irvine Police Department implemented geographic based policing, dividing the City into three Geographic Areas. In 2013, these geographic areas were updated drawing new boundaries to take into consideration patterns in calls for service, highway configurations, new construction and population growth.

The Area of Crossroads encompasses the residential villages of College Park, Deerfield, El Camino Glen, Greentree, Harvard Square, Heritage Park, Los Olivos, Oak Creek, Old Towne, Orange Tree, Quail Hill, Shady Canyon, Smoketree, The Colony, The Meadows, The Ranch, The Spectrum, The Willows, Walnut Square, Westpark, Windwood and Woodbridge.

Also located in the Crossroads policing area are Irvine Valley College, the Verizon Amphitheater, the Irvine Spectrum and several other major shopping centers. Additionally, 18 Irvine Unified School District campuses and a number of private schools and pre-schools are located within the Crossroads boundaries.

As the Area Commander, I am responsible for the delivery of police services to the residential villages, commercial centers and school campuses within the Crossroads Area. These services include but are not limited to: patrol operations, traffic, investigations, community outreach, school-based officers and programs and crime prevention.

The Crossroads team is comprised of sworn and professional staff members, including supervisors, patrol officers, traffic officers, detectives, community service officers, school resource officers and crime prevention specialists.

What can “Geo-Policing” do for you?

As Irvine continues to grow, my goal is to preserve the small-town feeling and availability of having a neighborhood officer who is familiar with your individual community.

Our Mission:
“Working in partnership with the community, we will preserve the peace, uphold the law with fairness and provide quality service”.

It is my expectation that professional and sworn personnel assigned to the Crossroads Area will accomplish our mission daily while demonstrating the Department’s Core Values of Integrity, Quality Service, Accountability and respect at every opportunity.

It is our goal is to provide only the highest level of service

If I may be of service, please feel free to contact me directly.
